The NYC Marathon was more than a race. It was a way to settle a grudge. Runners were asked to pick a grudge and come race day they were able to settle the score once and for all. 

Grudges included (but were not limited to): Orthodox vs. Reform, Little Italy vs. Chinatown, Uptown vs. Downtown, Grimaldi's vs. Lombardi's, Pimps vs. Hos, Cabbies vs. Bike Messengers, The Shore vs. The Hamptons and Bravest vs. Finest
